Microsoft Gold Partner Status
Represents the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies and has the closest working relationship with Microsoft. At this level, we have access to the resources and support we need to stand out in the marketplace, including a Technical Services Coordinator, access to the Partner Knowledge Base, priority listing in Microsoft Directories and other top-level benefits such as the latest in-house software so that we can skill up early.
There are a number of ways to attain this level of partnership, and in order to differentiate members each partnership has competencies associated with it. A competency is achieved by demonstrating key skills in a specified area, have and maintain relevant qualified staff and have a constant flow of associated customer references that reaffirm the partners abilities, which in Microsoft’s opinion is the perfect acid test.
BDE hold the following Microsoft competencies:
Network Infrastructure - Designed for technology partners who have proven their proficiency in implementing solutions based on the Microsoft Windows Server or Windows Small Business Server platforms.
Advanced Network Infrastructure - Designed for technology partners specialising in high-availability, complex infrastructure solutions. Areas of specialisation for this competency are Active Directory Management, Exchange Migration and Deployment, Hosting, Systems Management and Storage Solutions.
Information Worker - Designed for technology partners with expertise in developing collaboration and group productivity solutions around the Microsoft Office system, including collaboration and messaging, portals and content management, project and process management and business productivity tools. Areas of specialisation for this competency are Enterprise Project Management, Messaging and Collaboration, Office Smart Client Development, SharePoint Portals.

The BDE infrastructure department hold the highest achievable qualifications and are already working on the skills required for deployment, upgrade and migration of Windows 2008 products.
Our goal is to attain this before any other UK partner as this will be a key requirement from our customers in the next twelve months, so we need them to be aware that we are ready and have the skills to help them.
